Who we are
The Gubbi is a Bengaluru-based business making funny, contemporary objects with India’s traditional handcrafts. Collection 01 is made in Channapatna, Karnataka. Reach us at [email protected].
Prices and payment
All prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. During our pre-order phase, reserving a piece on this site does not charge you. When your pieces are ready we email you a payment link, and payment is taken only then, through our payment partner. We may correct an obvious pricing error before you pay.
Orders
A reservation is a request, not a purchase. A sale is made when you pay the link we send. You may cancel a reservation at any time before paying. We may decline or cancel a reservation if a piece cannot be made, we suspect fraud, or the address cannot be served; if you have paid, you are refunded in full. Each piece is hand-turned, so grain, colour and finish vary slightly from the photographs.

Not a toy
Every Gubbi object is a decorative item for adults. It is not a toy, is not tested as one, and is not for children under 14. It may contain small parts and natural lac finish. Keep it on the desk, not in the cot.
Intellectual property
The characters, names, stories, photographs and this website belong to The Gubbi. Buying an object does not transfer any rights in its design. Please don’t copy or reproduce them commercially.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
