Every window ledge in Bengaluru.
Answers to
Rice.

Good things shouldn’t disappear.

The sparrow. The handcraft. The little things we stop noticing. We’re here to give them a place in everyday life again.

Why Gubbi?

Also missing: Handcraft.

It didn’t get worse. It stopped talking about how we live.

Nobody saw it go. That’s how it happens with small things.

Last seen making:

Keep the craft. Change the conversation.

Indian handcraft, with something to say about life now. That’s why we started Gubbi.

When did you
last notice
a sparrow?

Gubbi means sparrow in Kannada.

NOTICE.

The small things.

A sparrow on a Bengaluru window ledge.

The bird on the window ledge. Rice from ajji’s kitchen. An argument with a crow.

Then, one day, you realise you haven’t seen one in a while.

We took the name as a little reminder: notice the small things before they go.

Make a little room for them

A bird on a ledge.A craft on a shelf.Both deserve a place
in our everyday.

So we’re making handcraft feel like it belongs here again. With the same skill, and something new to say.

Before the objects,
there were messy hands.

Our other happy place: Gubbi Art Club.

Art and craft workshops in Bengaluru. A table full of curious hands, some paint, and the pleasure of making a little thing yourself.

That feeling belongs in everyday life, too. Something made with care. Something you reach for. Something that feels like you.

Gubbi vs.
the flyovers.

Six-forty. Peak traffic. One small bird with somewhere to be.

Squeeze through the gaps. Grab the grains of rice. Every one you notice counts. (Notice the small things before they go. You may have heard that somewhere.)

Why a sparrow?

Meter haaku,
boss.

Silk Board. Eight forty-five. Raining, obviously.

Weave through the traffic. Mind the cows and the potholes. Brake for anyone waving at the kerb, and grab the filter kaapi when you see it. Gubbi rides on the roof, and has opinions about your driving.

Roll for a route instead

KEEP IT AROUND.

Another day. Same little company.

Handmade, among everyday belongings.

The joke lands.
The thing stays.

For the next desk.
The next flat. The next phase.

That’s what we want to make. A story you remember, a surface you want to touch, and a place in the room long after the joke first lands.

Collection 01: Peak Bengaluru starts with Channapatna’s turned-wood tradition. Other Indian handcrafts follow. The mission stays the same.
